What’s in your treasure chest?

Interesting enough, the Psalmist David wrote that he had found the best place to store God’s Word, in his heart.  David realized that having the Word, only in the mind, was not going to help him refuse sinful desires.  People of God, it is more than being able to recite your favorite scripture. The POWER to resist the devil is dependent upon how much of God’s Word is stored up in your heart, your treasure chest.  Power to grow in God requires truly being convicted by the Word of God; Your desire to be more like Christ.

Your heart houses your spirit. We have to be careful and mindful of what we are allowing to pile our hearts.  What are you harboring? Hoarding past hurts, disappoints, lusts?  The heart only has room for God’s Word. Invite His Word into your heart so that you can combat the ways/wickedness of this sinful world.  Things are attacking us left and right. We must declare that the Word of God is settled within our hearts and our minds are constantly trying to return to Him.  We can resist if we allow God to dwell in our innermost being, our heart.

Psalm 119:11 | English Standard Version (ESV)

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”

Author: Erica Nelson

I am a sinner saved by God's grace. I do not profess to be anything more. My purpose in life is to "Empowering People To Get From Where They Are To Where They're DESTINED." There is no other way but through Jesus Christ, the shedding of His blood for us. I am moved to encourage people to want to use God's Word as their instruction manual in life. As I grow in the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of His Divine plan for my life, I pray I can be a blessing to you. Peace and Blessings, Erica Nelson Leader, Passion4People Ministries Incorporated
