We know that we have been made free in God once we have given our lives back to Him and believed in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
God gives us grace and mercy but it is not to be abused. We cannot just walk around and do anything we want. We are subject to God’s law and commandments.
We can’t just live how we want and treat people wrong and expect God to act in grace and mercy toward us.
God is beckoning us to do right, live right as according to His standards. You won’t know His requirements until you get to know the God you professed. You can’t know Him or anyone, for that matter, without spending some time with them.
Regardless of what we have heard, we are called to a higher standard of living by God.
What we used to do and how we used to act must change, if all or some of our actions were not as God would desire.
Do not fall back into your old life because God has made you very FREE. Do not allow others to determine how you will live with this new freedom.
Rely only on God’s instructions so that you are very sure of His requirements.
The world has its own standards and most, if not all, are not aligned with God’s law.
Today’s Scriptures:
Freedom is what we have—Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again.
As for you, my friends, you were called to be free. But do not let this freedom become an excuse for letting your physical desires control you. Instead, let love make you serve one another. (Galatians 5:1, 13 GNT)
