In addition to last week’s blog on Spiritual Exercise, it is important to review and do these exercises as well:
Lifting Your Hands: When you lift your hands you are submitting to God. You are recognizing His strength, His abilities, His powerfulness (OMNIPOTENT), Him being all-knowing (OMNISCIENT), and He is everywhere (OMNIPRESENT).
Lift your head as well when you do this. He is El Elyon (The Most High God); Adonai (Lord, Master); El Olam (The Everlasting God); El Shaddai (The Lord God Almighty); Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Hosts); Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord Our Righteousness)
Bowing your head: An act of total submission and reliance on God, recognizing God as your King, recognizing His authority (sovereignty) over you, His reign (rule). (Genesis 24:26; Genesis 19:1; 1 Kings 18:42; Nehemiah 8:6)
Kneeling: We often pray by just saying prayers wherever we are and whenever we think of it. Devote some time on your knees, with your head bowed, and pray to God—designate time for this. God wants to see that you are diligently seeking Him (Hebrews 11:6) and that you recognize Him as God, your Father.
He adopted us through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thus, we are joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17)and can come to God, boldly (Hebrews 4:16). Boldly in making our requests in faith that His Will is done in our lives (Matthew 6:10). Also, when you are praying ask God for forgiveness, PRAY HIS WORD (1 John 1:9; Isaiah 1:18)
Placing your hand on your head, anointing your head with oil (GET YOUR SOME OIL AND BLESS IT IN JESUS NAME) James 5:14-16 (for healing) (abundance – “cup run over” Psalm 23:5; Ephesians 3:20-21. This is another way to pray commands over your life. Commands from God, like in (Deuteronomy 28:13; Deut. 15:10; 30:9; Luke 6:38, Luke 10:19) where it says you are the head and not the tail…above and not beneath….and that you are of them that have overcame the wicked one (1 John 2:14) by the power of your Blood of The Lamb (Jesus as a sacrifice for you) testimony (Revelations 12:11)…praying His word in confidence because He made you and know you and what you are in need of …Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:13
Hand to heart: Further exercise that can be used when you pray for yourself. Recognition that He is Lord, your provider (Jehovah Jireh); The Lord is there (Jehovah Shammah); Jehovah Rapha (The Lord that Heals); Jehovah Shalom (The Lord is Peace); Jehovah- Raah (The Lord My Shepherd)
Spiritual Exercise Challenge: As Christians, we tend to praise and worship God when everything is going well, but what do you do when all hell breaks loose and it seems there is trouble on every side? What do you do when trials and tribulations are testing your faith? What do you do when you children are acting up? When your marriage seems to be on the limb, when people have disappointed you and have not treated you like you treated them? You simply continue in praise and worship. You continue to offer God your praise, even from the lowest valley in your life.
If you remain consistent in your praise and worship, you will find peace in the middle of the storm (keeping your heart and mind on Him) asking Him to transform your heart and mind (Isaiah 26:3; Romans 12:2); you will rest in assurance that if God brought you out before, He will surely come to your rescue. Soak up what you are to learn through those trials.
Consider that it is a part of a growing pang that is meant to direct you back to your source: Jesus Christ. Consider that God can and will bring you out. Consider how Jesus Christ got through everything He faced, on Earth. He continued to call on Abba, His Father. He continued to trust and when He was low on faith (PRAY THE PRAYER OF FAITH – Hebrews 11:1; Mark 11:24; Matthew 7:7), He asked God for help.
BECOME A BIBLE READER! STOP SKIPPING READING THE WORD OF GOD TO DO OTHER THINGS, YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE PEACE OR EVEN KNOW GOD WITHOUT KNOWING HIS DIVINE WORD. DON’T BE LAZY IN GOD, WE DO EVERYTHING ELSE YET WE WANT GOD TO COME RIGHT AWAY…
MENTAL NOTE: Think about how God feels. You always asking for something but never want to learn more about Him and pray the Scriptures because you won’t take time out to learn. Everybody makes the excuse they are too busy. What if God was too busy to come see about you?
Today’s Scriptures:

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
Hebrews 4:16 ESV | English Standard Version
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
Romans 12: 2 KJV | King James Version
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
